I first fell in love with this US brand when I got the fresh Umbrian Clay Purifying Mask. They were always famous for their usage of natural pure ingredients, as well as pioneering innovative ways of creating and infusing new scents, textures and goodness in their products. The Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask is of course, no exception.
A 5-minute facial designed to rejuvenate tired and overstressed skin, the Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask promises radiant supple skin with each use and contains a powerful blend of kombu seaweed, red algae, lotus flower seeds and extracts that works together to gently buff and refine skin texture. Lotus flowers contains high amounts of polyphenols and antioxidants and are known for its anti-aging abilities in herbal medicines.
The Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask comes in a pretty violet floral packaging iconic of fresh beauty products, and has a slightly thick creamy texture. This is mixed in with real plant bits of its key ingredients of lotus seeds, seaweed, algae and sea fennel extracts. It smells super fresh (no pun intended) with a light, fruity scent reminiscent of sweet persimmons and spring lotus flowers. I spread a generous layer onto my skin and rested it for 3-5 minutes, before massaging in circular motions to exfoliate and finally rinsing off with warm water.
My skin immediately looked brighter, tighter and more supple! I can see that the lotus seeds have done a good job in detoxing and exfoliation, as the pores looked really clean. I was worried that the seeds might be too harsh on my skin as I am not a fan of physical exfoliation masks such as sugar, oatmeal, and any kind of particle/bead scrubs, but this work gently and I barely felt any real abrasion.
The exfoliation mask is recommended for usage up to twice weekly for best results. I am not sure about getting any anti-aging results in a 5 minute mask as this usually requires dedication in terms of a whole suite of products, but if you are looking for a relaxing, spa facial experience that relieves stress while gently exfoliating- this would be highly recommend. If anything, the heavenly floral scent (which smells good enough to eat!) is enough for me to get a second tub!
